Your First-time Visit - What to Expect
St. Paul's is an open and accepting community. Whoever you are, whatever you believe, you are welcome here. Any Sunday will do for a visit, and childcare (youngest 6 weeks) is always available, so please feel free to walk through the door any time. We do offer occasional “Welcome Sundays” which allow us to recognize newcomers as a part of our community of faith. Visit our calendar for the next event.
The Episcopal Church is a liturgical community, which means that the service is structured around readings from the Book of Common Prayer and from scriptures. At Sunday service, you can expect choral music, hymns, prayer, welcome hand-shakes or hugs, a homily/message from one of our priests, ministers, or lay members, and the celebration of the Eucharist. To be a full part of the life of the parish, nothing is required but your presence. Every person who worships regularly and joins in our life as a church is a vital part of St. Paul’s. For more information on becoming a member, read "Belonging to St. Paul's" (pdf) linked on this page. To learn more about the church's vision, ministry, and worship practices, read For a description of and reflections on the Episcopal experience, visit pttw.org to "peek through the window of the Episcopal Church." We look forward to seeing you soon. |
