First of all welcome all to St. Paul's Millennial group. My wife Mariana Fierro and I (Brenda Fierro) are very excited to be taking on this new adventure. We have been attending St. Paul's since early 2013 and cannot say enough about the love and joy we have experienced here. We have been feeling led to take part in the church and until recently were not sure which direction it was we were heading. It came to light for us that we were lacking in maximizing the capacity to bring new members in be it young, millennial or the elder, and that being said we knew this is where we wanted to make a difference. Currently being a full time student I have had many opportunities to speak with millennial aged adults who like myself came from a religious background and did not quite fit that mold anymore. Many of those whom I spoke to had no idea that a church like ours even existed or that there were options for people our age be it straight, gay, trans etc....options for a place of fellowship, education, hope, inspiration. A place where you come as you are without judgement or fear knowing its safe and full of love. Here at St. Paul's our goal is to be the outreach to our Bakersfield community and help in anyway we can, and as the new leaders for the millennial group we not only wish to continue this but we also have high hopes for some major growth no only with new members but spiritually and emotionally as well. Please feel free to contact myself (Brenda) or Mariana at anytime with any questions, ideals, concerns or just to say hello.

Making Connections
We would like to make new friendships and bring old friends back together again. Planning on many gatherings full of fun, laughter, excitement and activities. We also will have many gatherings that will be family friendly to include children (as many of us have children). Some of the events will be targeted for adults only, as adult time is also much needed. The concept is to get our families and children well acquainted with one another which in turn will allow us to connect with others outside of the church to show them the love and commitment we have to our blooming relationships where all are welcomed.
Biblical Community
We will also be planning future Bible studies and functions of this nature to allow for fellowship and help with our spirituality, questions, concerns, issues, instruction and encouragement along our journey called life. It is a safe zone and anything discussed will remain in the group unless otherwise specified. We are looking into bringing on guest speakers to address certain topics or concerns that we feel are relate-able to the groups specific needs.
Helping The Community
The millennial's group is looking forward to community outreach to see where it is we can best help out. We are definitely not opposed to taking on multiple goals and programs. No project is to big/small and all are equally important to us as well as the city of Bakersfield.
Growth
We are working towards inviting more millennial's as well as their families and friends to come visit us at our amazing church at St. Paul's. We love, adore and are inspired by our elders here at St. Paul's and continue to encourage them to show us the way, as to keep our episcopal traditions going. The motto here is "All Are Welcome" and we are hopeful that individuals that visit would be encouraged to call this their home as we have so much love to give.
